Adult INTERMEDIATE Acting with Jim McNabb.

A course for people who have had some experience on stage but who want to hone their skills and improve their chances of being cast in a play. Through a series of games and activities the participant explores how to think in character, how to find the character’s objectives, stimuli and barriers, how to express emotions physically, and how to strengthen the vocal mechanism for stage work. Improvisation, rehearsal techniques and script analysis are used to ground the actor in his/her role. Practice in playing scenes from different styles and periods of theatre will give confidence to audition for a wider range of roles.

Prerequisites Some previous acting or theatre is required (i.e. Acting Fundamentals , another introductory class, acting workshop, or high school drama class, etc.)

Preparing for the Workshop: No preparation required. Wear loose, comfortable clothing.
