Still Looking for Paradise, a Fundraiser to Feed the Hungry.

On November 6th the world premiere of the latest play by Ian Stauffer, Still Looking for Paradise, will be performed at the Ottawa Little Theatre. Shows run nightly until November 9th, curtain at 7:30 p.m. This is a unique event. Approximately 30 members of the police and legal communities, under the direction of Kathi Langston, will come together to create this social comedy. All of the net proceeds from the four shows will go to maintaining the ‘Feed the Hungry’ project operating out of The Ottawa Mission. Since 2010 every month a band of volunteers from the legal community serves a hot meal to about 500 of our fellow citizens at The Mission. The food and drink cost about $1100 per month. The money to pay for the project comes solely from donations. There is no ‘public’ money funding the project. The donations are administered by the Law Society Foundation. Tickets for November 7 – 9 are $50.00 with a tax receipt for the maximum amount allowable by CRA.
